Vito Schiro first enrolled in law at the University of Zurich but then completed his studies with a Master’s Degree in Economics at the University of St Gallen in 1993, with focus on Finance and Capital Markets. In the same year, he started his career in investment banking with the Swiss Bank Corporation (later UBS) in Zurich. There, he headed the division of «Equity Structured Products and Corporate Derivatives» for Switzerland and, from 2008 onwards, for Europe. During that time, he was a member of the global UBS Investment Bank Equity Derivative Boards. In 2010, Vito Schiro moved to the division of «UBS Wealth Management» where he worked as the head of «Capital Markets» in the area of Investment Products & Services (IPS).
In 2014, Vito Schiro went to Hong Kong for two years. During his time in Asia, he was in charge of the area of Investment Products & Products throughout that region.
In 2015, he was promoted to Group Managing Director. After more than 20 years of international experience with UBS and a further training at Stanford University, Vito Schiro has been working for Investment Manager Cape Capital AG in Zurich since September 2017. Focus of his current work is risk management, management of investment positions and special financing (structured loans).
